Arsenal Blow Spurs Away In Stunning First Half In North London Derby

Spurs were seriously poor in the opening 45 minutes at the Emirates against rivals Arsenal.

Arsenal ripped Spurs apart in a breathtaking 45 minutes in the North London Derby.

Emile Smith-Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka were all on target in a clinical 34 minutes, with the visitors producing one of the worst halves of the Premier League season so far.

They lacked ideas with the ball, Harry Kane barely got a kick and was far too deep, and they were undone by three counter attack situations.

Spurs lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace a few weeks back and were beaten by the same scoreline at home to Chelsea last week.

And they are on course to lose 3-0 again after a poor performance against their rivals, who looked structured and balanced after a poor start to the new campaign.

Smith-Rowe notched the opener from a Saka cut-back 12 minutes in and then turned provider when he linked up wonderfully with Aubameyang down the left.

Completing the one-two, the Arsenal No.10 picked out the Gabon striker, who picked out the far bottom corner with his left foot.

Arsenal continued to be in dreamland when Saka got in on the act, pulling the ball across Hugo Lloris for the third after a couple of ricochets inside the area.

It's hard to see a way back for Tottenham in the second half and you wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal ended up making it an even more miserable Sunday afternoon.

Spurs fans in the away end didn't appear to have confidence of any sort of turnaround in the second half - with some spotted leaving before half-time.
