Andy Robertson Gets Hilariously Wiped Out By Atletico Madrid Player While Staring Out Antoine Griezmann

"[Andy] Robertson getting put into another postcode," one fan said. The Liverpool star was wiped out of frame by the Atletico Madrid player.

Andy Robertson was hilariously barged out of the way by an Atletico Madrid player while he tried to stare out Antoine Griezmann on Tuesday night.

Liverpool travelled to the Wanda Metropolitano for their Champions League clash with the defending La Liga champions.

The in-form Mohamed Salah fired the Reds into the lead in the opening 10 minutes before Naby Keita doubled Liverpool’s lead five minutes later with a superb volley.

However, Atletico built momentum and fought back as Griezmann scored a brace to pull the scores level before half-time.

Griezmann, who left Barcelona in the summer to return to Atletico on a loan deal, went from hero to zero on the night early in the second half.

The 30-year-old French forward was shown a red card in the 52nd minute after a reckless high-footed challenge on Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool capitalised on Griezmann’s dismissal and were later awarded a penalty with 12 minutes remaining, with Salah expertly converting to seal a 3-2 win over Atletico.

During the thrilling clash, BT Sport captured the moment where Robertson was completely wiped out by an Atletico player.

The 27-year-old Liverpool left-back was only inches away from Griezmann’s face after the Atletico star was sent off.

But Robertson’s staredown with the 2018 World Cup winner was hilariously scuppered by an onrushing Atletico player.
