Arteta's options in midfield are beginning to look thin, however, the Gunners have remained strong in the stance regarding the future of Emile Smith Rowe, who has been subject to a pair of bids from Aston Villa for £25m and £30m.
Meanwhile, talks are still ongoing with Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White, while playmakers such as Lyon's Houssem Aouar and Leicester City's James Maddison have also been heavily linked with the north London outfit.
Whether the Gunners can get a deal over the line for the three young stars is another question, though.
