Arsenal reportedly have a "solid chance" of bringing star midfielder Renato Sanches to the Emirates Stadium this summer because of two players in particular.
In the summer of 2016, Sanches' name was in the headlines with just about every top club in Europe wanting to sign the talented Portugal international.
And now Arsenal are said to be in with a chance of signing the 23-year-old - a key figure in Lille's Ligue 1 triumph last season - because of their positive relationship with the French club.

In the summer transfer window of 2019, Arsenal signed Nicolas Pepe from Lille for a club-record fee of £72m, choosing the Ivory Coast international over compatriot Wilfried Zaha.
And, just 12 months ago, the Gunners broke their resolve by bringing Gabriel Magalhaes to north London, too.
Interestingly, Lille are said to be open to selling Sanches because of the current cash crisis in French football.
French publication L'Equipe report in their print edition that Arsenal and Liverpool are both "very interested" in the midfielder after arousing their interest with his performances at Euro 2020.

Lille are reportedly in the process of selling players this summer to raise funds, so an exit could very well be on the cards.
Sanches has been with Lille since 2019, where he spent a season with Magalhaes before the defender moved onto Arsenal.
And it is that relationship between the two players which is getting Arsenal fans the most excited.

Gabriel recently commented "come to Arsenal" on Sanches' latest Instagram post, to which Sanches responded, "I'm [waiting] for your invitation". Make of that what you will.
