It is understood that Chelsea are keen to sign a new striker this summer after Timo Werner managed just six Premier League goals season, whereas Lewandowski scored a staggering 41 times in just 29 Bundesliga games.
Further reports coming out of Germany are also suggesting that the Blues have been discussing Lewandowski's future with his agent Pini Zahavi.
The Poland international has two years remaining on his existing deal and has been at the Allianz Arena since 2014.
But according to numerous reports, the German giants do not want to sell the 32-year-old and are negotiating a contract extension.
Lewandowski's Bundesliga counterpart in Haaland, meanwhile, is still the Blues' number one striker target, with the Champions League holders interested in snapping up the phenom forward this summer.
Despite his alleged £65m release clause coming into play in 2022, Chelsea will reportedly test Dortmund's resolve by making a £135m bid for the 20-year-old. So, who will it be - Lewandowski or Haaland? Watch this space.
