Ten days before the start of the eagerly awaited Euro 2020, Gareth Southgate will submit his final 26-man England squad on Tuesday after delaying his decision.
The Three Lions head coach opted to name a provisional 33-man squad last week due to a large number of players competing in the Champions League and Europa League finals.
It is believed that Southgate will select players from clubs who finished higher in the Premier League table, according to The Atheltic.
That is thought to include Jordan Henderson, despite the Liverpool captain having played no competitive football since February.
Less than a fortnight away, Euro 2020 - rescheduled from last year due to the coronavirus pandemic - sees England face their first Group D game against Croatia on June 13.
Fans will be sweating on the fitness of stonewall centre-half Harry Maguire, while others will be wondering who Southgate picks at right-back, especially given the strength in that position.
However, no matter who the waistcoat aficionado ends up taking to represent the nation, one thing is for sure - it's coming home.
Southgate will reveal his squad on Tuesday, June 1 at 5pm.
A press conference will take place an hour after the announcement where Southgate will explain his team decisions.
Busy day ahead! :eyes:
