It's the day of reckoning. England will go to war with Germany in a fiercely competitive last-16 clash with a place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 up for grabs.

The Three Lions face their old rivals after topping Group D, with narrow wins over Croatia and the Czech Republic, with an underwhelming stalemate against Scotland sandwiched in between.

England have not played Germany in a major tournament since the infamous 4-1 round-of-16 defeat at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Karma could have its say tonight.

Impressing in flashes, Gareth Southgate's side have struggled for consistency with Raheem Sterling scoring the only two goals of the tournament so far - with captain Harry Kane yet to fire.

The Three Lions are, however, the only team at the competition yet to concede a goal and their defensive stability will, surely, hold them in good stead against an attacking German side.

The winner will play either Sweden or Ukraine in the quarter-finals, with a possible semi-final against either Denmark or the Czech Republic.
