Arsenal are reportedly prepared to spend £250m on at least five new signings this summer, as Mikel Arteta's huge transfer rebuild begins.
As a result of their lowest league finish in 25 years - with no European football to play next season - the Kroenke family are keen to spend a quarter of a billion pounds on transforming their squad, according to 90min.
And with eye-watering deals for midfielders Houssem Aouar and Sambi Lokonga edging ever closer, the north London outfit are also said to be stepping up their interest in Leicester City star James Maddison, too.
The Gunners wanted to re-sign Martin Odegaard for a second loan spell, but Real Madrid are now planning to keep the Norweigan international.

Arteta and Edu are aiming to improve the first-team squad by signing a creative midfielder during the summer transfer window amid links to Maddison.
It is understood that the Gunners are lining up an offer to the Foxes to sign Maddison and will make them one of their highest earners at the club - but it hasn't gone down well with some.
Gary Lineker, a boyhood Leicester fan, has urged the midfielder to reject a switch to Arsenal this summer.
In his response to a tweet that claimed Arsenal are preparing a move for Maddison, Lineker replied: "From my experience, taking a backward step never ends well. @Madders10."

Arsenal, meanwhile, completed their first signing of the summer over the weekend as they announced their £8m deal for Nuno Tavares from Benfica.
The Gunners are also on the verge of completing their £17m move for Anderlecht midfielder Lokonga, as well as Lyon's £25m-rated Aouar.
Elsewhere, Granit Xhaka is still expected to join Roma, while Arsenal are also open to offers for Lucas Torreira, who spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid.
