No matter what the comments on all our wrestling articles might argue about wrestling and sports entertainment is still going to hurt, especially if like Liv Morgan you get kicked in the face.

On Monday, on RAW, Morgan was involved in a six woman tag match with her stable partner the Riott Squad taking on Nikki and Brie Bella along with Natalya.

It was all going to plan until Morgan found herself in the ring with Brie Bella.

Bella was in the process of raining down kicks - called 'Yes Kicks' - to Morgan's head when she missed/hit the target.

That is to say that she missed the intended target, but very much put Morgan's lights out. She went completely limp, which is worrying.

Even more worrying was the fact that she then tried to continue on despite her injuries. She was even involved in a triple suplex, whilst being obviously concussed.

Medics then managed to get to her and treated her just outside of the ring, so hopefully she'll be fine.

After the fight the WWE confirmed that she had indeed suffered a concussion from the kicks and must now take some time off and go into the company's concussion protocols.

That means that there is no set timetable for her return and she must be medically cleared before she can enter the ring again.

The WWE statement reads: "Liv Morgan has a concussion and is going through the proper protocol under WWE's comprehensive wellness program."

Naturally, Brie Bella took a bit of flak online from fans who obviously don't understand that these guys know the risks before they step into the squared circle.

She answered this criticism on Twitter:

On the upside, and not that it matters, but the Riott Squad won the match in the end.
