It's finally fucking happening and we're going to get a sequel to Space Jam starring none other than LeBron James.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Justin Lin, of Fast & Furious fame, is in talks to direct Warner Bros.' sequel with Andrew Dodge in line to write the script.
A 'Space Jam 2' has been in the works for a long time and apparently picked up a little bit of steam when James' SpringHill Entertainment company signed a deal with Warner Bros' in July 2015.
LeBron is fully expected to star in Space Jam 2 following his appearance in Amy Schumer's comedy Trainwreck.
But now sources claim Lin and Dodge are already working on a script, suggesting it's simply formalities that need sorting before contracts get signed.
The first Space Jam, unforgettably starring Michael Jordan, earned $230.4 million worldwide - you can expect Space Jam 2 to smash that total out of the park.
Lin has directed four Fast & Furious films, starting with 2006's Tokyo Drift all the way through to Fast & Furious 6. He also has Star Trek Beyond coming out this year, due for release on July 22.

The Lin-Dodge duo appears to be one we're likely to see more of in future. They've already teamed up for an untitled cop comedy as well as a TV drama for HBO.
It's all but confirmed now, we just need LeBron to come out on social media and announce and we're all good to go. Don't keep us waiting...
