Tyson Fury Paid €200 To Release Two Lobsters Back Into The Sea

The Gypsy King refused to let the two crustaceans get boiled alive whilst dining out in Spain and tossed the pair into the ocean himself.

Despite his reputation as one of the hardest men in the world, Tyson Fury has never been shy about the fact that there's a heart of gold lurking beneath his tough exterior.

And in a recently resurfaced clip from last year's ITV documentary Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King, he proved just that as he saved two lobsters from certain death. Check it out below:

In the second episode of the documentary, Tyson was filmed eating dinner at a restaurant in Marbella, Spain whilst training for his fight against Otto Wailin back in 2019 as he waited for his wife Paris to arrive at the airport

Once seated, the waiter came over and offered him a choice of two lobsters - bizarrely named Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo - for dinner, but Tyson refused the offer, saying: "No chance, I don't like seafood."

Fury then asked about the price and said: "Take the elastic bands off their flippers and I'm going to set them free in the sea. I'll give you the €200."

Despite being initially dubious about the offer, the waiter eventually relented and helped the Gypsy King do just that, with the two of them strolling down to the beach together and tossing the crustaceans into the ocean.

"It was alive and it was going to get burned alive and I didn't want to burn them," Tyson said fondly after the incident.

"I don't like killing animals. It's not often you can do something good in life and today, that was a good deed and it only cost me €200."

Then, with a hint of irony in his eyes as he flashed a cheeky grin to the camera, he proudly declared that "I'm going to have steak instead"

Later on in the show, Paris Fury had a go at him when he was late to collect her from the airport due to posing for photos with a group of fans.

"Tyson tries to be nice to everyone but it's got to the stage where he can't because it just stops his life," his wife said in annoyance.

"When you hit fame and you end up in the media and you're a public icon, your life is no longer your own and it's a hard thing to deal with.

"I've loved this man since I was 16 years old, even in the bad times I think, 'I really hate you but I love you,' and I think that's why we get through."

Tyson eventually went on to win his fight against Wallin after the two clashed in Vegas, with Fury inching ahead on points despite suffering from a cut above his eye early on in the bout.
