Do you have the skills and expertise to play video games for a living?

Admittedly, that's not all you'd be required to do - you'd also need to be fluent in either Brazilian, Russian or Arabic to be a decent candidate for the role.

The vacancies, which are based in Liverpool, are for 'localisation testers' which means you'll be tasked with making sure the audio and text in video games are correct. So, yeah, practically playing - right?

You will need to have a good level of knowledge for the required language (grammar, spelling, and punctuation), and good attention to detail to provide corrections when errors occur.

The job advertisement explains that you will occasionally translate text for a video game or marketing.

Still interested? You can apply for the job on Indeed, with the description asking potential employees: "Do you have a passion for languages and games? Do you enjoy finding linguistic mistakes in video games? Would you like to be part of an international team whose work has impact on players around the world? Then we would love to hear from you!"

If you apply and are a successful candidate, you will be invited to complete a mandatory translation test which will be sent via e-mail and must be completed within 1 hour of receiving it.

The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, working 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary for the role is yet to be determined.

Skills and experience you need for the job include:

  • Fluency in English and one or more languages
  • Passionate games player
  • Good knowledge of computer games across multiple platforms
  • Working knowledge of MS Office package
  • Basic understanding of the development cycle and constraint

If gaming doesn't tickle your fancy, how about memes and bevs? Bud Light has revealed it wants to hire a CMO, which usually means a Chief Marketing Officer. But this CMO is very different.

The American beer company is looking to recruit an official Chief Meme Officer to help produce the best content possible. Sounds outrageous, right? But they are deadly serious.

The three-month stint will see the successful applicant not only earn an impressive $5,000 (£3,800) per month but will allow you to flex your meme muscles to the extreme. It's all to celebrate the launch of Bud Light Hard Seltzer - which is essentially alcoholic carbonated water with fruit flavouring.

The official press release states: "Knowing that a hard seltzer is only as good as its memes the brand wants to bring their creative to the next level , so they are in search of some fresh thinking.

"Starting today, the brand will recruit the best memers out there to join the brand's marketing team for the next three months to help curate epic Bud Light Seltzer memes."
