We've all had those moments when we hope the earth will open up and swallow us whole. Personally it's usually when I'm talking to a girl, for Dele Alli it'll be after this miss.
Yesterday Mauricio Pochettino compared one of his players to Ronaldinho and Maradona, it wasn't any of his attacking players but instead Mousa Dembele of all players.
Not that I'd have accepted a comparison between Dele Alli and two of the world's best ever players but it certainly would have been a closer comparison.

Alli has been in insatiable form for Spurs this season with the former MK Dons midfielder scoring 14 goals in the league and grabbing three assists too.
That has helped Spurs to second in the table and started rumours of a bid from Real Madrid. But if Los Blancos are watching this afternoon they may be put off.
In the first half against Burnley the 20 year old missed an absolute sitter:
Spurs really could have done with the goal from their midfielder as they are without their top scorer Harry Kane for a couple of weeks.

The North London side are 10 points behind league leaders Chelsea and a title challenge currently looks unlikely.
Burnley are likely to stay up this season with pretty much all of their points coming away from home.
