Manchester City Announce Special Presentation Event For FOUR New Signings

Manchester City Announce Special Presentation Event For FOUR New Signings

Manchester City have today announced that they will be hosting a special presentation events for fans to welcome new signings to the club.

Manchester City have announced that they will be hosting a special presentation event for fans to welcome their new signings to the club, in an official statement on Saturday.

Club officials have been busy this summer strengthening Pep Guardiola's squad for the new season.

Manchester City will be looking to win the Premier League for the third consecutive campaign, after winning four of the last five top-flight titles including back to back successes in 2020/21 and 2021/22.

While outgoings have dominated headlines at times this summer, the incomings at the Etihad Stadium have impressed onlookers.

Most recently, Manchester City announced the signing of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega - who is set to become the club's number two behind Brazilian international Ederson.

In June, it was Erling Haaland who broke the internet, as he completed a £51 million move from Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City beat off strong competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Back in January, City also completed the signing of exciting young Argentine forward Julian Alvarez from River Plate, with the 22 year-old expected to be a part of Pep Guardiola's first-team squad for the coming season.

Today, Manchester City have confirmed in an official club statement that fans will have the opportunity to welcome all three signings to the club at a special presentation event on Sunday 10th July.

The event begins at 1PM with players expected to arrive at the stadium's West Reception for approximately 2PM.

A full statement from the club read:

"Manchester City fans will have the opportunity to welcome the Club’s new signings at a presentation event on Sunday 10 July."

"Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Stefan Ortega Moreno will be introduced to supporters for the first time at the Etihad Stadium’s West Reception ahead of joining up with the first team squad for pre-season training."

"The unveiling event begins at 1pm, with the players set to arrive from approximately 2pm."

"Once on stage the trio will be quizzed by City Square presenters Danny Jackson and Natalie Pike, whilst other special guests and pundits will be in attendance to provide insight and reaction to our transfer business."

"There will also be music and prizes to be won, including shirts signed by each of our new recruits, as well as the opportunity to get your hands on some City merchandise as part of a number of giveaways."

"This event is free to attend and entry is on a first-come, first-served basis."

Manchester City fans have reacted positively, but have unsurprisingly raised the question as to why Kalvin Phillips has not been included in the club's statement.

The England international midfielder completed a medical with the club on Friday afternoon, completing a £42 million move from Leeds United this week.

However, with Phillips having not been officially announced by Manchester City yet - despite an expectation that that could come on Monday - he has not been listed in the club's statement.

With that being said however, the understanding is that Kalvin Phillips will be the fourth Manchester City signing presented to fans on Sunday 10th July at the Etihad Stadium.
