So now we know what was said.

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor got up very close and pretty bloody personal last night but before now we didn't actually know what the pair had said to each other at their first stare down.

I feel like I've been writing about Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather's fight for about a year already, and that's just based on the last two nights.

From quarter to 11 last night and up to and including this current article I will have written about a fight that is yet to happen six times and I'm expecting to write about it a couple more times before I go to bed.

Wait, have these two not fought yet? It's going to be a long few weeks. Image: PA

So you'll excuse me if time to time I find myself repeating what I've already said or drivelling on about absolutely nothing until I eventually get to my point- a little bit like this.

Two men who don't tend to drivel on too much and get right down to what they want to say are the 'Notorious' and 'Money,' you see what I did there.

The pair met yesterday and ended up squaring up to each other but we weren't sure what was said until now:

As always when two boxers come face to face, which is what that was for the purpose of this fight, half of it is just incoherent nonsense when neither man actually acknowledges what the other is saying.

The two fighters repeated a lot of what they'd said to each other on the stage with the mics turned up fro the Los Angeles crowd.

Mayweather let the UFC lightweight champion that he would be 'easy work,' whilst the Irishman told the man who is coming out of retirement for the second time in his career that in a proper fight he would kill him.

Last night was a lot of fun in fairness. Image: PA

The men were kept apart by Floyd Mayweather Snr, who would later interrupt McGregor at his press conference, and UFC president Dana White but still got very close.

Round two is tonight, and at this rate each actual boxing round feels like a long way off yet!
