It seems to be a recent trend that boxing and WWE are quickly merging, sure there's always been some fabrication in boxing rivalries but it's been turned up even more recently. So it's difficult to take Tony Bellew and Tyson Fury's recent 'spat' too seriously.
When Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega started a recent Twitter spat you just knew it was as scripted as most of the WWE superstars' promos in this current era of professional wrestling.
It was still a surprise that Y2J turned up on New...I've lost most of you haven't I?! Right okay, basically Y2J is fighting someone in Japan in January because they were fake arguing on Twitter.
But what has this got to do with boxing? Well in similar fashion Tony Bellew and Tyson Fury have started feuding on Twitter and it's about as believably organic as any of the punches thrown in a WWE ring:
Bellew should of course be getting ready for his rematch with David Haye, which was due to take place on December 17th, but Haye has had to pull out because of an injury.
That rivalry all started with lots of trash talking and apparent hatred between the two participants but it all disappeared as soon as the fight ended with the pair hugging each other and giving each other major props.
Even the Rock and John Cena actually hated each other at first!
Boxing, wrestling- it's basically the same these days (that should annoy enough people...)
