Wladimir Klitschko Appears To Kick Off Bad Blood With Anthony Joshua

Fans are cynical after Klitschko appears to start weird war of words.

Hands up who is looking forward to Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko three weeks today? I'm assuming if you're a boxing fan your hand is up, which exactly why Klitschko's apparent attempts at taking a dig at Joshua seem a bit baffling.

Boxers have always tried hard to hype up interest in their fights, especially if they happen to be on a pay-per-view channel, but in recent times some 'feuds' have seen as made up as some of the hatred in WWE.

There was no more criticised apparent hatred than in the David Haye and Tony Bellew rivalry. The pair seemed to absolutely hate each other in the months leading up to the fight but that all changed very quickly.

From Haye throwing a punch at one press conference and calling all of Bellew's fans "retards" in another to hugging and sucking up to each other in the aftermath, it made plenty feel sick.

That's why the build up to Anthony Joshua's world title defence against Wladimir Klitschko has seemed to much better. They've shown each other respect and built the fight on watching two of the best in the world slug it out. That is until today.

The Ukrainian has thrown shade at the Brit in a couple of tweets but they haven't gone down well with cynical fans:

The random abuse from the 41 year old seems to be based on a comment that Joshua was asked about back in December about him possibly becoming the first billionaire boxer.

In answer to a question on the possibility 'AJ' said: "They said I'm going to be a billionaire boxer? Is that before or after tax? What would I have to make before tax to be a billionaire boxer? Is that gross or net?

"What would I spend it on? Properties, then you have to leave some in the bank. Pensions, ISAs and bonds, that kind of stuff. And holidays, you've got to have holidays."

It seems like a weird episode to what should be an excellent fight.
