Tyson Fury Was Very Honest In Predicting A Fight With Prime Mike Tyson

Deontay Wilder claims that he would beat a prime Iron Mike but Fury isn't quite so sure that he could the same to the former champ.

Mike Tyson was once considered the most dangerous man on the planet and that's probably why Tyson Fury was honest enough to admit he wouldn't have beaten a peak 'Iron Mike.'

Fantasy booking boxers from different eras is something boxing fans love to do, which is why Wilder was asked if he'd beat a prime Tyson, something the Bronze Bomber is certain of.

However it's not the first time that question has been sprung and Fury was asked the same in 2018, on a Twitter Q&A, and his answer was very honest.

Fury is named after American 'Tyson' due to his fighting spirit because he was born prematurely but survived, however he doesn't think he'd survive longer than a round with the former two time heavyweight champion of the world.

Wilder on the other hand was sure he could beat a prime Iron Mike. Speaking to TMZ the Bronze Bomber said, "Me vs Tyson in '86, I'd kick the hell outta that guy.

"Listen, I've got to keep it real. I know people always go back to the old school or look at the new school and there's no school where I'm not No 1 on Earth."

Tyson himself had no issue with that confidence from the 34-year-old, answering, "I don't know [whether I'd beat him]," he said. "I love the fact that he thinks that, because that's the way I would think as well.

"He's supposed to think that way, he is the heavyweight champion of the world and that's something very special."

Right now neither man has to worry about what would happen if they faced Mike Tyson, because it'll never happen, and instead they have to worry about each other.

They face on Saturday night for the second time for the WBC heavyweight tile, after their controversial draw in December 2018.
