West Ham And Millwall Fans Clash During Boxing Fight
Most people like to go to boxing to watch professionals fight each other. However during Johnny Garton's fight against Gary Corcoran it was impossible not to be drawn to the brawl in the crowd between Millwall and West Ham fans.
On Saturday night Frank Warren put on a fight card at Brentwood Centre in Essex which was headlined by Anthony Yarde.
However the headlines weren't from the boxing that was taking place in the ring, no matter how good some of it, but instead it was the fighting outside of the ring.
Johnny Garton and Gary Corcoran put on a great fight as the pair went hell for leather in a bout for the British welterweight title.
Garton was the winner, stopping the fight in the 11th round after handing out some big punishment, but the attention was taken away from the ring by a massive brawl outside the ring. Garton is a Millwall fan and tensions are believed to have boiled over due to his fandom with the club.
Frank Warren and officials had to warn people about their conduct and someone took to the mic to scream at fans shouting, "You came here to watch boxing so sit down!"
It must have been a distraction to both boxers as it continued during one of the rounds as well as through the mid round break.
Fucking plebs in the crowd at Corcoran-Garton event are fighting. The bloke on the mic has shouted to them to sit down. Twats. They should be banned from every sports event in the country and sent to prison. Fucking losers.- No Holds Barred (@noholdsboxing) October 20, 2018
:flag_gb: CORCORAN GARTON is a great scrap but the one developing at the minute in the crowd behind Frank Warren is disgraceful.- Boxing-UK :flag_gb: (@Boxing_UK_) October 20, 2018
Why do these people attend boxing and think they're Mike Tyson all of a sudden?
Idiots the lot of them. #CorcoranGarton

Johnny Garton gets the job done in the 11th round after an absolute war with Gary Corcoran.
Just look at what it means to him and his team :punch: pic.twitter.com/tR0IxkveGL
It was a great night for Garton and certainly the fight of the night but it's a shame certain members of the crowd decided to ruin it.
