Floyd Mayweather announced on Friday that he is coming out of retirement again, and the undefeated boxer has a plan in place for 2020 already.

Not since Mayweather defeated Conor McGregor in August 2017 has the American faced an official fight, only getting in the ring New Year's Eve last year when he faced Tenshin Nasukawa.

'Money' Mayweather is set to make a comeback next year though, after announcing it this week on social media, but it won't just be for one fight as his return to face McGregor was.

As reported by TMZ, the 42-year-old is set to have two fights in 2020, with Manny Pacquiao one potential opponent, and could face another UFC fighter in his second.

The UFC link comes after Mayweather also posted a picture of him with the promotion's president Dana White and included the hashtags 'UFC' and 'MMA,' leading some to wonder if the comeback would be to the octagon not the ring.

Having previously faced McGregor in a boxing fight there has previously been talk of the pair facing off in an MMA fight but it seems more likely they'd have a rematch of their first bout.

'The Notorious' took a year out of action himself after his boxing loss and returned to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov last October.

The Irishman has been missing from action since then but is likely to return to action himself at the beginning of next year, would he want another shot in boxing?

If it's not McGregor then Khabib might have been an option, with the Russian's manager and coach previously mentioning a fight with 'Pretty Boy,' but the TMZ report says Mayweather is interested in a fight with a fighter with good 'stand-up striking skills.'

The report also claims that the former lineal welterweight champion wants to return to his May and September fighting dates, which have become the stock of Saul Canelo Alvarez since the American retired.

Mayweather is also targeting a fight at the Allegiant Stadium, which will play host to the Las Vegas Raiders, when they start their NFL campaign in July 2020.
