Dillian Whyte Proves Deontay Wilder Is Making Him Wait For A Fight

The heavyweight world champion has been accused of dodging Anthony Joshua in the past but clearly that's not the only person he's avoiding.

Deontay Wilder fight Tyson Fury in December but most people were hoping he'd be up against Anthony Joshua tonight however he could have actually been facing Dillian Whyte, but he's clearly avoiding that fight.

What the truth is between Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua we may never know. The two men are undefeated world champions and it was expected that their next fights would be against each other.

Wilder claimed that his team had sent over a contract and equally AJ's camp claimed the same thing but with neither man being able to get a deal sorted Joshua found an opponent in Alexander Povetkin and Wilder lined up Tyson Fury.

Should the former Olympic champion get past his Russian opponent at Wembley tonight then most people will be again hoping that his next opponent will be Wilder but that seems unlikely.

If Wilder is dodging AJ then it seems that the 28 year old isn't in a unique position. Dillian Whyte has also been linked with a fight with the Bronze Bomber in the past with no fight coming to fruition.

Now Whyte, whose last outing was a win against Joseph Parker, has revealed he has a text proving that Wilder is dodging him for two years.

As usual Wilder takes a swipe at Eddie Hearn in the text, who represents both Whyte and Joshua, saying, "Tell your promoters to give me what I want as well then we can get it on easy.

"I have no problems in fighting you as well as making money but Eddie [Hearn] is a liar.

"I'm sure you know this, I can tell by the way you look at him. They're bad vibes, but he's not running the show over here.

"But if I have to prove that then I will bro, because honestly I don't have to do anything for at least two years. Get at him."

For Wilder a fight against Whyte would be extremely dangerous with not as much reward as facing Fury or AJ, his lower profile and lack of title makes him a less interesting prospect to face.
