As a boxer, Prince Naseem Hamed was one of, if not the most entertaining British boxer of all time and, last night, the former WBO, WBC and IBF Featherweight Champion provided some of the finest punditry boxing has ever seen during ITV's coverage of George Groves' decision victory over Chris Eubank Junior.

Following Eubank Jr's defeat in the World Boxing Series semi-final at the Manchester Evening News Arena, last night, Hamed even called for the former IBO Super-Middleweight champion to retire, after only the second loss of his career.

"This guy is not on the level he thinks he is, he's in a dream land.

"I know this sounds terrible but i think he should finish. I don't think he's a hard puncher; in this game you need a get out of jail card, you need to be able to put them away and smash them up.

"He threw the kitchen sink at George Groves but he didn't do anything, not even when George has a dislocated shoulder."

And that wasn't the 44-year-old's only pearl of wisdom. Luckily, Twitter dot com user @Martillo42 compiled an extraordinary thread full of every peach Hamed provided throughout the night.

Can we have Hamed providing the punditry on every big fight from now on, please? Give him his own show, the lot.
