It didn't take long for Jake Paul to mock opponent Ben Askren for having a "beer belly" during Friday's weigh-in as he accused the former UFC fighter of not taking his training camp seriously.

After months of trash-talking, the pair will finally go head-to-head in the main event of tonight's Triller Fight Club event.

Askren, who hasn't fought since his submission defeat to Demian Maia at UFC Fight Night back in 2019, will make his boxing debut in the scheduled eight-round cruiserweight bout.

Paul, meanwhile, has won his last two bouts by way of stoppage and has vowed during their press conference to knock Askren out within the first two rounds.

The pair took to the stage on Friday night for the official weigh-ins and for the final time, Paul and Askren came face-to-face before Saturday evening's main event.

Both men weighed in at 191lbs but the YouTuber looked far leaner than his opponent on the scales.

Paul soon took aim at his physique during the confrontation before making his prediction.

"I see a guy who's underestimating me, I see a guy who is taking this as a joke and I see a guy who said, 'I have to take a s***' during the face-off." he said.

"This is the last 24 hours we will all have to hear Ben Askren. This one means a lot for me, this one is for Shadow.

"I don't believe he makes it out of two rounds; look at the guy, he has a beer belly so he clearly didn't take training camp seriously.

"We all did the talking and the entertainment s*** but now it's time to let the fists fly."

Despite Paul's claims of Askren having a 'beer belly', the former UFC fighter has been hitting the pads hard ahead of his bout on Saturday night - and fans think the former UFC and ONE fighter is much improved.

Back in February, concerns were raised over the 36-year-old's boxing technique after he uploaded a clip of his striking.

But two months later and a clip of the retired MMA fighter hitting the pads has emerged onine, with fans impressed by his progress.

One fan said: "He's actually improved a lot respect to his trainers." while another commented: "Looks much better now. Love the shirt though. "Everybody has a plan till they get punched in the face" Thats a little jab for Jake."
