Deontay Wilder Once Called Out Mike Tyson's Boxing Record In An Astonishing Instagram Live Rant

Deontay Wilder Once Called Out Mike Tyson's Boxing Record In An Astonishing Instagram Live Rant

Deontay Wilder erupted into an explosive rant against boxing legend Mike Tyson after fans heavily criticised his boxing ability.

The 34-year-old WBC champ has established a formidable reputation as one of the most feared punchers in boxing and fans have previously drawn comparisons with a prime 'Iron Mike.'

Wilder held an Instagram Live session in 2017 while driving a car and lost his patience when fans questioned his record inside the ring.

When a fan argued that the 'Bronze Bomber' didn't 'overcome the Mike Tyson era,' the KO artist responded: "Listen, listen, listen, listen!

"Folks, half of y'all motherf*****s don't know your history about... when it comes to the sport of boxing, let's face it: you do not know your history.

"You do not know your facts. You don't know s**t. All you know is what you hear. [...] Go back and do your facts, go back and do your history.

"We love Mike Tyson, of course. We love 'em all. You know what I'm saying? I love 'em all. We love 'em all. They did a great job. [...] But go back and look up your facts.

"[...] If you go back -- and I want somebody to answer this question for me -- how many Hall of Fame fighters did Mike Tyson actually fight?"

While Wilder argued that Michael Spinks and Larry Holmes 'didn't count' for different reasons, the WBC kingpin continued to berate fans when they fired off responses to him.

But the 'Bronze Bomber' reignited his rant when one fan responded by saying two and mentioned Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield by name.

"Only two," Wilder yelled down the camera.

"Only two. Only two. Holyfield beat him twice and Lennox beat him.

"Only two. So what the f**k y'all talking about?"

Wilder demanded fans do their 'research' and 'look up their facts' before they decide to call him out, adding that he doesn't care about criticism and 'laughs' at it.

The Alabama-born boxing star previously dismissed comparisons with the 'Baddest Man on the Planet' when he boasted that he could have knocked out the 1986 version of Tyson.
