Mike Tyson's son could follow in his father's legendary footsteps after putting on a superb boxing display on the pads.

The boxing legend uploaded the clip to his Instagram and showed him putting Miguel Leon Tyson through his paces.

The 'Baddest Man on the Planet' slowly backed off as his son unloaded powerful left and right shots, which were coupled with ferocious uppercuts.

While Tyson became renowned for his 'peek-a-boo' style, Miguel also showed off fast movement as he weaved in and out of punches.

'Iron' Mike wrote in the caption for his Instagram video: "He just started. Not trying to box just trying to stay fit.

"Morning workouts with the Baddest Dad on the Planet."

And fight fans were impressed with the youngster's showing and believe he should follow in his dad's footsteps.

One fan posted: "Looks like a career to me."

While someone else wrote: "Without a doubt he can do it, especially with the greatest champ of all time training him. If he goes after it with the same heart and drive Iron Mike did there will be no stopping him."

A third fan said: "Boy got some heavy hands."

And a fourth added: "Nice!!! Looking like the young mike."

Tyson, 53, was one of the most feared punchers in boxing history and built an incredible legacy in the sport.

The ex-boxing superstar became the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title and was also undisputed world heavyweight champion.

Tyson posted the video of his son on social media after former WBC champ Deontay Wilder boasted that he could have beaten a prime version of 'Iron' Mike.

When TMZ asked Tyson if he could see Wilder beating him in his prime, he simply responded: "I don't think so."

Wilder also launched an astonishing rant against Tyson's boxing record during an Instagram Live session in 2017.
