An incredible 80 per cent of boxing fans claimed that they would take a devastating right-handed power punch from Deontay Wilder for £5m.

The 34-year-old WBC champ is one of the most destructive punchers in boxing history and boasts a record of 41 wins by way of knockout.

SPORTbible conducted a readers' poll on Twitter and asked fans if they would take one of Wilder's incredible right-handed shots for a major payday.

And over 50,000 fans cast their votes in the poll and an incredible 80 per cent said they would take the ungloved punch from the 'Bronze Bomber.'

The remaining 20 per cent voted no, with fans unsurprisingly divided on the damage that the WBC kingpin could cause with his shot.

Twitter user Rich Wearz posted: "No, because I wouldn't be able to spend any of it as I'd be dead."

While another fan tweeted: "5m won't help much being a vegetable the rest of my life, thanks."

User RedWhite_Gooner would try their luck and argued: "Definitely, there's a very high percentage chance he'd miss."

And a fourth added: "Not worth it you couldn't spend it when your [sic] a veg and stuck to tubes and machines the rest of your life."

Wilder received a much higher percentage of the vote with less money on offer compared to Mike Tyson.

SPORTbible previously asked boxing fans if they would take an uppercut from a prime 'Iron' Mike (no glove) for £10m.
