Floyd Mayweather Reveals His Pick For Best MMA Fighter In The World

Floyd Mayweather's pick for the best MMA fighter in the world is relatively unknown Uzbekistan star Makhmud 'Mach' Muradov.

'Money' is best known for his boxing career in which he went 50-0, with his last fight beinga huge cross-promotional event against UFC icon Conor McGregor in 2017.

It's clear that Mayweather has knowledge of other combat sports and his choice of Muradov got fans talking.

Fans were quick to hit Mayweather with the names of legendary UFC stars such as Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva.

While some even brought current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and light heavyweight champion Jon Jones into the conversation.

ESPN's Ariel Helwani did manage to find out why Mayweather picked 'Mach' over more popular names.

Helwani revealed the 30-year-old is currently the only MMA fighter signed under Mayweather's The Money Team [TMT] banner.

Since the tweet, Muradov has signed with UFC and won his first two fights in the promotion against Alessio Di Chirico and Trevor Smith respectively.

Mayweather recently revealed that he will be returning for overseas exhibition bouts - despite reversing his decision earlier this year.

Speaking to Zab Judah on Instagram Live, 'Money' has confirmed he will be stepping back into the ring.

The fights will likely be similar to his bout with Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018.

"I got a couple of exhibitions I'm doing," Mayweather began. "I got a couple of exhibitions, I'm doing little exhibitions overseas. It's paying though."

One man who Mayweather has had words for recently is longtime rival McGregor.

'The Notorious' announced his UFC retirement last weekend which prompted Mayweather to leave a message for the Irishman.

"If I'm not mistaken, didn't you tell Mike Tyson you could beat me if we fought a second time? Now you're quitting! I thought you wanted to beat the best? Well, if you decide to come back, I will be waiting to punish you again."
