Mike Tyson has selected Vasyl Lomachenko and Gervonta Davis as his two favourite boxers.

While the 53-year old boxing legend's style in the ring was a primal, aggressive one, he appreciates the sheer skill and ability both Lomachenko and Davis have in their locker.

And he's desperate for the man they call 'Hi-Tech', a three-weight world champion, to come up against 'Tank' - who has a 23-0 record and has held world titles in two divisions, to lock horns.

Speaking on Instagram live with rapper and boxing fan Fat Joe, Tyson said: "I like Lomachenko, the Ukrainian guy. I like Gervonta Davis, that little guy Tank and those two guys have got to fight. They're both beautiful fighters and they got to fight."

Having been champion at super-featherweight champion, Davis moved up to lightweight and beat Yuriorkis Gamboa in the 12th round to win the vacant WBA [Regular] title in his last fight back in December.

Lomachenko, who has beaten the likes of Jorge Linares, Anthony Crolla, Guillermo Rigendeux in his professional career, holds the WBA [Super] and WBO titles at 135lbs and has been touted to go after the IBF title, currently held by Teofimo Lopez.

And Davis, who is promoted by Floyd Mayweather, believes it's inevitable that the two will cross paths, irrespective of whether it happens at 130lbs or 135lbs.

"Of course," Davis told Boxing Scene in December after his last bout.

"I think right now it's like people will fight me off of - I'm not trying to be cocky - but off of, you know, them making [a lot of money].

"It's a big risk, but also, it's a big payday, so a lot of people wanna get paid. Like [Lomachenko] is at the end of his career, I believe, so - well, not at the end of his career. He up in age, you know, so he trying to make the biggest fights he can make in a short period of time. So, everybody got they different path. But I'm 25 years old. My stretch a little longer than his, so we takin' our time.

"You know, I don't feel nobody above me. I'm the cash cow, I believe, at 135, 130. I'm setting all records. I'm putting butts in the seats, so I don't think he doing that. So, you know, line 'em up. I'm willing to fight anybody. I'm ready."
