Floyd Mayweather Says He's Travelling To Saudi Arabia To Discuss Manny Pacquiao Rematch

Floyd Mayweather Says He's Travelling To Saudi Arabia To Discuss Manny Pacquiao Rematch

Floyd Mayweather says he will be travelling to Saudi Arabia for talks about holding a rematch with Manny Pacquiao.

The 50-0 fighter beat the Filipino fighter on points in what was billed as 'The Fight of the Century' back in May 2015 at the MGM Grand but a video on social media seems him updating fans on the chances of the two slugging out for a second time.

In the video, Mayweather states: "It's an honour to come to Saudi Arabia to sit down with you guys to talk about the Mayweather vs Pacquiao rematch.

"Saudi Arabia. Floyd 'Money' Mayweather. I'm on my way."

Mayweather has been officially retired since his superfight with Conor McGregor in August 2017 but did return to the ring to make easy work of rookie Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa on New Year's Eve - though it did not count on his record.

'Money's Instagram page suggests he's still doing pretty well when it comes to the funds in his bank account but it seems he now wants a piece of that Saudi money - having seen Amir Khan's fight in Jeddah last month - coupled with the announcement that the Anthony Joshua-Andy Ruiz world heavyweight title rematch will be in the country.

Both Mayweather and Pacquiao have regularly traded shots at one another, with the former brutally putting his rival down last month following his win over Keith Thurman.

"Let's stick to the facts! Bob Arum is no longer your promoter, so when it comes to Mayweather Promotions & PBC events I'm the HNIC!" Mayweather said.

"Bottom line, I make more money than you; I beat you, then I signed you! I was only at your fight supervising you, my employee, as any real BOSS would do. You made $10Million for 12 rounds, when I just made $9M in under 3 minutes playing around in an exhibition with a pizza delivery guy!

"I beat you mentally, physically and financially! Remember, you fight cause you have to, I fight when I want to!"
