Boxing legend George Foreman believes that a prime Mike Tyson would have beaten him in a mega-showdown in his heyday.

'Big George,' 71, is widely revered as one of the best boxers of all time and clashed with heavyweight icons like Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali.

But the former two-time world heavyweight champ never stepped into the squared circle with a prime Tyson in the 1980s.

A boxing fan took to social media and asked Foreman for his thoughts on what would happen in a dream fantasy clash with 'Iron' Mike.

'Big George' admitted that he'd bet on his fellow legend to emerge victoriously, but he said that he would "pull for myself" in the fight.

"I'd bet on Tyson but pull for myself," he responded.

However, there were plenty of fans that felt Foreman was being too humble and backed him to KO the 'Baddest Man on the Planet.'

"George is a very humble man. You would KO Iron Mike in under 4 rounds," one boxing fan wrote.

While Twitter account Fight Talk & Predictions posted: "Healthy, Prime George Foreman is unbeatable. You can't change my mind George!"

A third fan added: "George wins by KO. Anytime anyway fought back against Mike he got beaten."

And Gwynne Johnston tweeted: "Tyson bets Forman [sic] in his prime, Tyson loses to older more experienced Big George Forman. Reason, prime George stood straight up and in front of his opponent. Big George Forman had the best jab and would KO Tyson."

Foreman has revealed that he didn't regret facing Tyson in the ring, saying that 'Iron' Mike was a "nightmare in the ring."

The 71-year-old heavyweight legend explained: "That guy was a nightmare in the ring.

"If he missed you with his left, then missed you with his right, he'd bite you.

"I didn't want anything to do with that guy. He was sacred and I was glad of that. I didn't want a part of Mike Tyson."

Foreman fought an incredible 81 times and only suffered five defeats, boasting an incredible 68 knockouts in his illustrious fighting career.
