Jake Paul has revealed his bizarre friendship with Real Madrid starlet Vinicius Junior, saying they both support each other's endeavours.

Paul resumes his budding boxing career against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on August 29.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer takes on his toughest assignment to date following victories over Nate Robinson, AnEsonGib and Ben Askren.

He can expect the support of Vinicius Jr, with 'The Problem Child' admitting he doesn't follow football - but is a big fan of the Brazilian forward.

He told talkSPORT: "I don't follow [football] at all. I mostly follow the players, but that's about it.

"Vinicius Jr, that's my guy. We both support each other. He DMs me whenever I knock someone out. He's been killing it."

The 24-year-old American appears to have his eyes on his next opponent, with Tommy Fury on the undercard of Paul vs. Woodley.

On Fury, he said: "I'd say I was the number one person to get him on that card.

"I see him as a potential opponent in the future.

"He has to get through my sparring partner Anthony Taylor - I think he is highly underestimating Anthony's skillset.

"And I personally think Anthony is gonna beat Tommy and upset the whole world.

"But I wanted to see if Tommy would step up to the plate, put his money where his mouth is.

"Because he says he wants to fight me, he says he wants to do bigger fights and get involved in the US market.

"Now is your time to shine, let's see what you're made of."
