An explosive interview has revealed how Mike Tyson would have sex with random women in order to "loosen up" before big fights.

"Iron Mike" was reportedly fuelled with so much adrenaline flowing through his body that he feared he would kill someone in the ring.

The claim was made by Tyson's former bodyguard and chauffeur, Rudy Gonzalez, who made a number of incredible revelations, which included him having to hide women away in bathrooms and changing rooms.

"Mike would say, 'If I do not get laid, I will kill this guy right now,'" Gonzalez said in an interview with The Sun, in quotes also published by Fox Sports.

"Sometimes he'd go in with them [the women] for a minute, bang the s-t out of them, snap his neck and say: 'OK, this guy is going to live tonight.'

"His biggest fear was that he would kill someone in that ring. He knew he could do it.

"It is no exaggeration to say Mike was like a train hitting these guys. Having sex was his way of disengaging that power and loosening up a bit."

Tyson had a very troubled upbringing to say the least, after his father abandoned him at the time of his birth. His mother also died when he was just 16 years old.

The 55-year-old grew up in one of the roughest parts of Brooklyn and became crippled by severe anxiety.

Despite achieving tremendous success by reigning as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world between 1987 and 1990, his life was brought to a grinding halt following a rape conviction in 1992.

He spent three years behind bars and subsequently staged a comeback upon his parole, before announcing his retirement in 2005.

But the boxing legend never steers too far away from controversy, and recently revealed that he had "died" while taking toad venom.

There doesn't seem to be a dull day in the life of the "The baddest man on the planet."
