Tyson Fury Argues Prime Mike Tyson Would Have 'Smashed' Any Heavyweight Boxer
Tyson Fury has sent out the ultimate tribute to Mike Tyson by saying a prime version of the boxing legend would easily have swept through the heavyweight division.
'Iron Mike,' 53, is widely regarded as one of the best boxers of all time alongside the legendary Muhammad Ali.
And Fury, 31, posted a photo of the living legend on Instagram and praised the "original bad man" of boxing.
The 'Gypsy King' wrote in a message to his 2.4m followers: "This is the original bad man @miketyson he would of smashed them all in his prime. #baddestmanagereverliveth happy to carry his name, #TYSONFURY #GYPSYKING."
And fight fans scrambled to the comments and agreed with Fury over his claim that a prime Tyson would have beaten any boxer.
Instagram user marios_garoufos wrote: "Agree. Can't imagine mike to fight like Joshua (running)."
While another simply posted: "prime tyson > any boxer."
A third fan, carlroberts1664, said: "Well said and when those bells tolled on that ring walk the room was electric I very much doubt we'll ever see the likes of Mike again."
And a fourth user added: "He would beat the s**t out of [Deontay] wilder."
Tyson was a former undisputed world heavyweight champion and also the youngest boxer to ever win the heavyweight title after he destroyed Trevor Berbick in 1986.
The 'Baddest Man on the Planet' won 50 of his 58 professional fights, securing an astonishing 44 victories by way of knockout.
Fury made an appearance on Hotboxin' With Mike Tyson in September and told the boxing legend how he ended up receiving his name.
The Brit superstar explained: "I'm named after Mike, yes. I'll tell you how it happened.
"My dad was a professional boxer in the late '80s, early '90s -- a heavyweight and his hero was you.

"So when I was born August 12, 1988, I came into the world and I was eight weeks premature. I was dying, I wasn't supposed to live.
"But when I lived, my dad said I'm going to call you after my favourite heavyweight, Tyson.
"The doctor said, 'No, that's not going to be a good name, he's not going to be very big this guy.'
"When I was born, I only weighed one pound in weight. I was tiny, but I grew up to be 6ft 9in and 265 pounds. It's crazy."
During the podcast, 'Iron Mike' opened up to the 'Gypsy King' about fighting back against his personal demons.
