Despite Floyd Mayweather's supposed retirement, the former pound-for-pound king remains heavily link with the sport as a return to the ring continues to be subject of question.

Currently sitting on 49-0 needing just one more victory to enter the record books. And this is Mayweather we're talking about, the most braggadocios athlete in all of sport, do you think he entered the sport to equal records? Of course he's got his eye on breaking the record.

Could he get in the ring with the most feared boxer today in Gennady Golovkin? Well, Mayweather laid out the plan for Golovkin if the wanted to tangle with him. First, he had to call out Andre Ward then beat the undefeated fighter. Speaking to reporters via Boxing Scene;

"When you hear stuff about Triple G, like I said before, I told Triple G what he had to do if he wants a fight with me. He's gotta call out Andre Ward, beat Andre Ward, and then I'll fight him. I haven't seen him call out Andre Ward yet."

It now seems Mayweather wants the middleweight world champion to move up to the super-middleweight division after claiming the WBA Super, WBC and IBF titles. At 160lbs, 'GGG' has made light work of his opponents while displaying his thunderous power racking up seventeen consecutive world title defences but the self-proclaimed 'Money' wants the Kazakh destroyer to step up to prove his hype.

"What we want to see is this: we've seen Sugar Ray Leonard go up in weight, Roberto Duran go up in weight, we've had so many legendary fighters go up in weight but my nephew's favourite fighter, Triple G, has yet to go up in weight."

Continuing to add; "I see my nephew after the Kell Brook and he said (Golovkin) 'wasn't what I thought he was, he cool'. I told you he's got punching power for a stationary target. Then he said 'unc, you would have stopped him, you would've destroyed him'. I said 'nephew you ain't telling me nothing new'. He was just a fan of Triple G fighting those stationary targets."

Meanwhile, Golovkin is set to take on WBA regular (how many fucking belts are there?!) world champion Daniel Jacobs after being mandated by the governing body.
