Deontay Wilder showed off his incredible punching power in full force when he nailed a mascot and broke the man's jaw.

The WBC champ, 34, made an appearance on Spanish TV channel Nacion ESPN ahead of his clash with Tyson Fury last year.

And Wilder pulled off one of his powerful punches against the show's mascot, only for initial reports to claim that he didn't know there was a real man inside the costume.

The 'Bronze Bomber' took to social media after the incident to dismiss the idea that he didn't know there was an actual person inside the costume.

But he also came out to apologise to the man who had sustained the injury at his hands.

"Anything headlining I didn't know a 'human being' was in there is just straight 'clickbaiting' like come on now," the WBC kingpin said at the time.

"I guess the mascot rolled out there. Show so [sic] respect!

"I sincerely apologize to the brave man that was injured (if this is true) I have the up most high respect for him, his participation, willingness and courage.

"If this is true I personally would like to invite him to my Dec 1 fight. Word is bond."

Wilder also pretended on the show that a training dummy was Fury and went into full-on trash-talking mode.

"I'm gonna beat you, you little Gypsy King," he said.

"I'ma knock you out.

"I can't wait 'til December 1st. The people is in for a treat.

"I said I was gonna knock you out. I've just got one question. When I knock your body on the canvas, which foot do you want me to step over you with? The right or the left?

"I'll let you decide."

Wilder and Fury traded blows in an epic clash on 1st December at the Staples Center in LA, which ended in a controversial split draw decision.

Fury has revealed that his rematch with Wilder is slated for 22nd February in Las Vegas, though an official announcement for the bout has not been made.
