UFC president Dana White has 'begged' Mike Tyson not to make a sensational in-ring boxing return at the age of 53.

'Iron' Mike, who plans to compete in a series of charity fights, went viral earlier this month after he shared a training clip boasting his ferocious power and speed on the pads.

White, 50, has been a close pal of Tyson's and the boxing legend has previously attended UFC events.

But the UFC chief has sent out a desperate plea to the 'Baddest Man on the Planet' to make a U-turn on his boxing decision.

"I love Mike Tyson, I'm begging him not to go fight," White told Canadian podcast Tim and Sid.

"I said, 'You look awesome, you're still explosive, you're obviously still powerful, you're one of the all-time greats.'

"But Mike, you're 53, please don't do it, please."

Tyson, who remains the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title, has undergone a remarkable body transformation en route to his return to boxing.

Brazilian MMA legend Rafael Cordeiro, who trained with Tyson in the viral clip, has since opened up about his experience of working the pads with 'Iron' Mike.

Tyson could complete his trilogy of fights with Evander Holyfield after the boxing legend announced a shock return to the squared circle.

White is so adamant that he doesn't want to see Tyson's return that he is willing to help him out financially if that's the reason for his return.

"Bottom line is I don't want Mike to fight," he said.

"If it comes down to where he is about to do something crazy, I might have to jump in and figure out something for him not to do it."

Tyson, who recently shared new footage of him training, revealed last month he was trying to remain fit and has his eyes set on fighting charity exhibition fights.

"I've been hitting the mitts for the last week," he said during an Instagram Live.

"That's been tough, my body is really jacked up and really sore from hitting the mitts.

"I've been working out, I've been trying to get in the ring, I think I'm going to box some exhibitions and get in shape.

"I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff.

"Some charity exhibitions, make some money, help some homeless and drug-affected motherf****r like me."
