Dana White Was 'Blown Away' By Mike Tyson's 'F***ing Awesome' Performance In Roy Jones Jr Exhibition Bout

Dana White was "blown away" by Mike Tyson's performance in his first fight for 15 years.

The UFC president tuned in to see Tyson roll back the years in an exhibition fight with fellow great Roy Jones Jr that was called a draw by the unofficial judges.

A close friend of the two-time world heavyweight champion, White was apprehensive about his close friend returning to the ring at the age of 54.

But having seen 'Iron' Mike look as sharp and explosive as he did in his pomp after getting himself in some incredible shape, White showered him with praise after watching the bout his green room at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

"I didn't want to say anything negative because I love Tyson and he's a good friend of mine," White told reporters after UFC Vegas 15, as per Bloody Elbow.

"I was nervous. He's (54) years old. Time is undefeated. Time takes us all down and one of the things I was worried for Mike is that he has this incredible aura still, and (54) years old

"Fighting is a young man's game. All that being said, (Mike Tyson) looked f-king awesome tonight! I was blown away with how good he looked.

"I was worried about Roy. Roy was 51 years old, but Roy's been a lot more active than Tyson has been. Roy actually got more tired than Mike tonight, which was shocking. I'm happy for them. I hope they both made a f-king zillion dollars. It exceeded my expectations.

"He looked good. He's a grown ass man and will do whatever he wants anyway, but good for him. It was actually a good fight. It was an entertaining fight to watch, and I thought he looked really good."

The California State Athletic Commission did not score the bout, but World Boxing Council's unofficial judges declared it a draw.

White wasn't having it, however, adding: "Tyson won the fight."

Speaking after the result, Tyson said: "Sometimes that two minutes felt like three minutes.

"I'm just happy I got this under my belt and I'm going to continue to go further and do more, absolutely."

The Baddest Man on the Planet also revealed he had been smoking weed right before mixing it up inside the squared circle.
