Remembering When GGG Casually Walked Through A 'Canelo' Bomb

Proof that Golovkin's chin is made out of granite.

Remember when Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez punched Amir Khan so hard that Khan ended up back in Bolton?

Well imagine that, only this time, instead of Khan, the fighter taking the punch is Gennady Golovkin and instead of his legs turning into actual spaghetti, the Kazakhstani reacts in the same manner as a bloke in a beer garden trying to shoo a wasp away from his pint.

The two middleweight champions fought to a thrilling, albeit controversial draw in Las Vegas back in 2017, with both fighters putting in memorable performances in an attempt to settle the debate as to who is the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, right now.

And while we may not have been given a definitive answer to that question, the more pressing matter was, 'WHAT IN THE BLUE SHITE IS GENNADY GOLOVKIN'S CHIN MADE OUT OF?'

The undefeated WBA , WBC, IBF, and IBO middleweight champion has never been knocked down in his professional career and, judging by the punishment his chin absorbed last night without even the slightest of flinches, it's safe to say you could drive a cement mixer into the 37-year-old's face and the most he'd get would be a slight headache.

The shot that has gained the most attention in the aftermath of the fight is Canelo's knockout blow that caught Golovkin right in the kisser. The only problem with it was, whereas any other human being on the planet would have been staring at the T-mobile Arena lights a split second later, Golovkin was roaring back into the fight, barely registering the fact one of the greatest boxers in the world had just done his best to punch his nose through the back of his skull.

I mean, who even survives something like that? Even a Nokia 3210 would have exploded upon the same impact, yet Golovkin simply carries on like normal.

GGG will come up against Sergiy Derevyanchenko on Saturday night. Who's everyone backing?

Let us know in the comments.
