Deontay Wilder has officially exercised the rematch clause for a blockbuster trilogy fight with Tyson Fury, according to promoter Bob Arum.

Fury stopped Wilder in the seventh round to become the new WBC heavyweight world champion last weekend in Las Vegas.

'The Bronze Bomber' had 30 days to trigger an immediate rematch and Fury's promoter Arum has claimed that they've been "formally notified" by Wilder's team that they are doing so.

The third meeting will take place "before the Olympics - July" in America.

"Wider and his representatives formerly notified us last night that they've accepted the rematch. It'll happen in July. It'll happen in the middle of July," said Arum.

He added: "I told Eddie Hearn, 'Stop looking at a Tyson Fury fight this year. You've got to fight Pulev in June, and Joshua is going to get knocked on his ass. I guarantee you that Pulev will knockout Joshua like Tyson Fury knocked out.'"

Wilder, meanwhile, failed to attend the post-fight press conference but he did release a statement, where he blamed his crushing defeat on his heavy costume.

The 34-year-old also broke his social media silence on Saturday. He posted a video message to his fans on Twitter.

"Hello my people, my Bomb Squad army, my Bomb Squad nation, to all my loved ones around the world, I just want to let you know I am here," he said.

"Your king is here. And we ain't going nowhere, for the war has just begun. I will rise again. I am strong. I am a king, you can't take my pride.

"I am a warrior. I am a king that will never give up. I'm a king that will fight to the death. And if anyone don't understand that, don't understand what it is to go to war, don't understand what it is to fight, we will rise again. We will regain the title.

"I will be back. We will hold our heads up high. Your king is in great spirit. We will rise like a phoenix from the ashes and regain the title. I'll see you in a few months, for the war has just begun. All my love to all my people."

Who takes the trilogy bout ? Let us know in the comments.
