Manny Pacquiao Set To Fight Keith Thurman For 'Super' World Welterweight Title

Two huge welterweight fights are slated for this summer in Manny Pacquiao vs. Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter vs. Errol Spence.

Pacquiao and Thurman are in advanced talks for a bout in July according to Mike Coppinger.

"SOURCES: Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman are in advanced talks for a pay-per-view welterweight title showdown that's being targeted for July 13. No deal yet but it's expected to be completed."

Pacquiao, the WBA 'regular' welterweight champion, will face Thurman who owns the WBA 'super' welterweight title on July 13.

July 20 is another possibility with Las Vegas, New York or Los Angeles set to host the world-title contest.

What's more, a welterweight championship unification between WBC holder Shawn Porter and IBF king Errol Spence is also in the works. It's all going off in the 147 lbs division.

The Filipino fighting machine recorded his 61st professional victory at the start of the year by out-pointing Adrien Broner.

Thurman most recently defended his belt against Josesito Lopez. He boasts a perfect pro-record including scalps over Robert Guerrero, Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter.
