It's not any of his heavyweight rivals.

'Canelo'? Nope. Vasyl Lomachenko? Think again.

Anthony Joshua has named his pound-for-pound king of boxing, and it's a pretty good choice.

The 28-year-old defends his world titles on Saturday night and victory would cement his position as heavyweight kingpin, but in order to crack into the 'P4P' rankings a victory over a top dog is required.

Like a Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury.

Someone who has reached those levels of supremacy is Oleksandr Usyk and Joshua reckons he's the pound-for-pound king.

The Ukrainian powerhouse is currently in possession of the WBA (super), WBC, IBF, WBO world cruiserweight titles as well as The Ring belt.

"He [Usyk] has all the belts and he's at the highest weight so I'd say him," Joshua said.

Usyk is slated to fight Tony Bellew in November and a move up to heavyweight is on the cards providing he comes out victorious.

"If he moves up correctly, yes. The heavyweights of today's generation are a different kettle of fish than Muhammad Ali," Joshua added.

"We used to be clumsy but now our coordination is good. We can punch and we're strong. So you need to move up at the right stages because it's not just based on skill.

"But but based on your will and how much you can take.

"If he moves up correctly, I know he's had a lot of amateur experience. It will be interesting to see how he does."

Joshua vs. Usyk, anyone...?
