50 Cent Responds After Floyd Mayweather Lavishly Spends $18 Million On A Watch

Just think of how many Séamus Colemans he could've bought for that.

50 Cent has responded brilliantly after Floyd Mayweather bought a watch for an enormous amount of money.

The former professional boxer had told the world he bought a diamond watch for $18 million via his Instagram account.

The piece of bling is 58 x 47.5mm in size and made of 18-carat white gold, which consist of 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds and three carats made up of individual stones.

Sounds plush, but not surely not enough to splash out almost $20 million for?

But 41-year-old Mayweather was pleased with the purchase, posting via his Instagram page: "This my new timepiece, it's called 'The Billionaire Watch'. If you don't know about it, google Billionaire Watch. That's $18 million on the price tag."

Rapper 50 Cent saw the funny side of this extravagant spend, taking to Instagram to take the piss out his buddy, calling him a 'fool' and 'dumb'.

Online users have been quick to respond to the mega-purchase themselves.

Mayweather is considered one of the greatest boxers in history. But, unlike legends such as Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis, he doesn't come off as a particularly humble bloke.

He's often seen showing off his billionaire lifestyle on social media without a shed of self-awareness or irony.

Forbes named him the richest sports star on the planet - but just how much that watch put a hole in his wallet, we don't know.
