However, Joshua has revealed that he has been on the phone regularly with former Heavyweight Champion, Wladimir Klitschko ahead of the rematch.
The Ukrainian who lost to Anthony Joshua in April 2017 in the 11th round, said that Joshua needs to use his fitness and conditioning to beat the current Heavyweight Champion:
"When I fought him, he called me a CrossFit champion."
"So we just spent a lot of time in the ring this time, getting comfortable on the different canvases, getting comfortable in the ring, getting comfortable moving to my left, getting comfortable moving to my right and understanding ring generalship, understanding the science of boxing."

Joshua also went on to say that Klitschko has ironically told him to stay off his phone for the week leading up to the fight so he won't get swayed by what people are saying on Social Media:
"Klitschko also told me to stay off my phone this week, don't listen to too much outside influences because your own beliefs is what's important this week. Not what someone is trying to tell you from the outside."
Joshua is set for his rematch with Ruiz Jr who beat him at Madison Square Garden, New York back in June 2019.
