Footage looks incredible.

This alpha footage looks so impressive, we weren't sure if it was a real photo of two boxers. eSports Boxing Club is a hyper-realistic boxing game coming to consoles and PC which recently released footage of the game being played, giving us proper Fight Night vibes.

Steel City Interactive - the small team behind the new boxing game - has released some initial footage of the gameplay mechanics in the title.

And wow - the look of the game is incredibly impressive even in its alpha state, so we can't wait to see how it develops further.

The focus of the video is on some of the major mechanics you'll interact with when playing the game.

These are: "movement, corner systems, backfoot combat, career aspects, four directional punches, adrenaline, feints, thirst six punch control, and ring-craft".

There will be more aspects of the game revealed and explored later on (like how clinching works) but these are the first features explored by the devs in this first look.

Seeing the brief introductions to each part of the initial features is both intriguing and remarkable.

The footwork section, for example, makes it look like the fighter is pre-animated rather than a developer controlling how he dances around the ring - that's partially successful because of motion capture they got of some real boxers.

That's not an easy thing to achieve, and yet the animators and team have really nailed that feel of a fighter's movement.

There are other cool systems involved too like corner work. Between rounds a coach will talk to your fighter, and that will have an effect on your next round, or the adrenaline system that forces players to weigh up stamina throughout the fight.
