Conor McGregor needed just two words to perfectly sum up his beef with Oscar De La Hoya.

The Golden Boy promoter's angry outburst towards the Mayweather vs. McGregor bout on the eve of the fight sent social media into overdrive. But before the Irishman responded, Dana White savagely reacted with a brutal Tweet.

Though following the 10th round loss to Mayweather, McGregor shared his thoughts on De La Hoya in typically brilliant fashion.

De La Hoya claimed the mega-event damaged the reputation of the sport. Though it's clear to see his bitterness lies in the fact that his bout between 'Canelo' vs. 'GGG' has flown under the radar while hurting it's pay-per-view buys, with the bout over the weekend costing $100.

He was also promoting a fight on August 26th.

Despite thinking it was a farce, De La Hoya actually offered 'Canelo' to McGregor if negotiations broke down with Team Mayweather.

And a few days removed from Mayweather recording his 50th professional victory, De La Hoya wasn't impressed by McGregor's performance.

Even saying Mayweather let him win the early rounds. "Because Mayweather let him. The first four of five rounds, he let him do that. The punches are coming from different angles. It was a bit awkward to watch, actually," De La Hoya said on The MMA Hour.

And his harsh assessment didn't end there. De La Hoya also went on record to say that 'Canelo' would have knocked out the UFC star earlier.

"After seeing Saturday's fight, Canelo probably would have knocked [McGregor] out in one round or two rounds. Canelo is a knockout guy, he's a guy who's not gonna trick people into making a fight last longer than it should last," he added.

While the dust settles on the Mayweather vs. McGregor circus, boxing fans have only a few weeks to wait for another super-fight as 'Canelo' faces the Kazakh destroyer from Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 16th.
