Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are two of the greatest of their generation, and possibly any generation, but the one they're now concentrating on is the next generation.

The two men won world titles across numerous weight divisions, with Pacquiao still holding the WBA (super) welterweight title after defeating Keith Thurman last year.

The rivals fought in May 2015, though it came nearly 10 years too late for many fans, with Mayweather winning out quite easily on points.

They may meet again in the future but now people are wondering if it will be as trainers for their sons, after video of the pair of them training the fruit of their loins were shared on social media.

There has regularly been talk about a rematch between the two dads but it's not looking likely right now, despite Mayweather claiming last year he was coming out of retirement.

The American was expected to team up with Dana White for his comeback, with rumours his first fight would be against a UFC fight, as his most recent fight was, but that has been put on the back burner.

Mayweather recently lost uncle Roger, who trained him through his career, and his death has inspired the 50-0 boxer to become a coach himself.

Speaking on an Instagram video recently the 43-year-old said, "This is my first day working with my 14-year-old old nephew, and my second time doing mitt work.

"As many of you know, I've had incredible trainers which included my dad and uncle. Due to the recent passing of my Uncle Roger, I've felt inspired to help those around me the same way they have been there for me throughout my boxing career.

"In a time where we must distance ourselves from others, it has allowed me to reflect on how I want to make a difference in people lives and help them achieve their goals."

"I am new to helping people train as I've always been on the other side of the mitts," he added, "A fighter could be impressive at mitt work but it doesn't make him a great fighter. A trainer could be impressive on the mitts but it doesn't make him a great trainer.

"It has become a goal of mine to help others reach the best versions of themselves and walk with it in confidence. I want to leave an impression on those around me and allow them to see their potential.

"This quarantine period has allowed me to see the importance of unity and helping others grow. I want to do my part on this Earth and allow people to see the potential in themselves so that they can share it with the world.

"I am new at training and so far I've been working with people with no boxing experience, therefore we are growing together. But I promise you, I will be one of the best trainers in the world."

Will Mayweather vs Pacquiao with Mayweather and Pacquiao in the corners ever happen?
