When Boxer Levan Shonia Attacked His Own Coach After Losing Fight

This isn't how boxer/coach relationships are supposed to work, we doubt they are still together.

Who knows what will happen when KSI and Logan Paul face each other on Saturday night but it's unlikely to be as mad as when Georgian boxer Levan Shonia attacked his own coach at the end of a fight.

It was 27th October 2018 when Hughie Fury took on Kubrat Pulev in Bulgaria and Shonia was on the undercard to take on Spas Genov, fighting in his home country.

Genov won the fight and then, seemingly for no reason, the loser turned on his coach and started hitting him. It left the coach to hold on to the ropes, as he tried not to fall off, before the referee stepped in.

On Saturday night the boxing world is set for one of its most bizarre nights when YouTubers KSI and Paul face each other for the second time, but it's the first time it'll be in a professional fight.

The first fight, in October 2018, was fought with heavier gloves, head guards and over only six rounds but Eddie Hearn refused to promote the rematch without the pair going professional.

It's unlikely that either men will turn on their trainers, especially Paul. The American is being trained by former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs and would be in trouble if he started a fight with the 47-year-old.

Someone did start a fight with Briggs though. Outside Friday's weigh in the American threw a punch at one of KSI's team after he was involved in an argument with KSI's coach Viddal Riley.
