Dana White Placed A $100,000 Bet On Canelo Alvarez Vs Caleb Plant Fight

Dana White won big after placing a $100,000 bet on the super-middieweight world title fight between Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant fight.

White revealed his six-figure bet during the UFC 268 presser - explaining he had predicted a Canelo knockout - before sharing his slip and exact winnings on Instagram.

He said, "I like Canelo I watched the fight and I bet $100,000 on Canelo to win by knockout, that is why I watched the fight."

White collected a tidy $42,000 after Canelo knocked out Plant in the 11th round to become undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO super-middleweight world champion.

The fight was shown live on Showtime, though we're not quite if White paid for it judging by his reaction when quizzed in the presser.

"Yes," he replied sheepishly, cracking a smile as members of the media laughed.

He also gave a swift response to whether he wanted to see Usman, the UFC pound-for-pound king, take on Canelo inside the squared circle following his comments this week.

"I watched the Canelo fight," White said.

"You don't want to fight Canelo."
