Ex-NBA Player Knocks Out Pop Star Aaron Carter In Weirdest Celebrity Fight Yet

A 6ft 10in ex-pro athlete fought the little brother of a Backstreet Boy.

The most bizarre celebrity boxing bout yet saw ex-NBA player Lamar Odom knockout pop star Aaron Carter - unsurprising as Odom was 65lb heavier and over a foot taller.

The crazy spectacle was compounded by the fact that UFC legend Chuck Liddell was the referee charged with keeping the mismatched pair in line. What exactly have we just watched?

Despite looking like a tiny child compared to the hulking, 6ft 10in Odom, Carter actually got in some early licks. However the fight soon went the way you'd expect when a heavily muscled ex-pro athlete takes on the younger brother of a Backstreet Boy.

When Odom - who won two NBA Championships with the LA Lakers - started to measure his shots, he began to hurt Carter and put him down inside the first round.

Former teen pop sensation Carter never looked right coming out for the second round (let's be honest, none of this looked right) in Atlantic City.

Strangely spinning 360 degrees when he got hit and/or tried to launch his own punches, the 33-year-old singer gamely tried to fire back but he was completely outgunned.

Eventually Aaron, brother to one Nick Carter, tumbled into the ropes and wisely decided to take the count out loss rather than accept more punishment from the rangy Odom's fists

The world has become increasingly used to the strange spectacle of celebrity boxing bouts and YouTubers Jake Paul and Logan Paul taking on assorted MMA fighters, ex-NBA players and even one Floyd Mayweather.

But the humongous size difference in this oddball match-up had many wondering how it was even legal for the two to trade punches in the boxing ring.

Asked what it felt like to be struck by Odom post-bout on FITE TV, Carter replied: "Like a f***ing train... He hits like a mule."

At least there was no bad blood post-fight as the two hugged it out.

Class. Once again, we can say: boxing was the real winner on this night.
