Andy Ruiz Jr Comments On Accidentally Punching Trainer Flush On Chin With Huge Left Hook
Andy Ruiz Jr has commented on the time he nearly knocked his train clean out with a stiff shot to the chin.
The Mexican-American heavyweight champion is in full flow ahead of his anticipated rematch with Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
He has recently posted a video poking fun at when he clocked his trainer straight in the chin with the caption 'I barely touched him'.
Ruiz Jr missed the pad and punched his coach flush on the chin and he said"Oh shit!" before embracing him.
He weighed in at over 19 stone when he shocked the heavyweight division.
He defeated Joshua for the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles in June and it was a huge upset he's hoping to repeat.
Zoha Matin, founder of Zo's Meal Plans told Sky Sports that Ruiz Jr is committed to eating healthy in the lead up to the fight.
"Andy's weight is coming down."
"He's working really hard in the gym which is a factor.
"His diet? Fish, salmon, pasta on sparring days. Once in a while we have had a cheat day but nothing too crazy, man.

"We're not targeting a specific weight - maybe the same weight or a little bit less. But we want to feel light so it's easier for him to move on his feet."
Ruiz Jr believes that losing weight will allow him to be much leaner and quicker for the Joshua rematch.
